Description:

1966 Chevrolet Nova SS

You are bidding at NO RESERVE on a stunning 1966 Nova True 118 Vin SS that has been completely restored and set up for Pro-Touring. The entire car was Frame-Off restored about 11 years ago now and has been garaged and only driven to shows since. The paint and body are extremely nice with only minor wear most noticeably the bottom of the drivers and passenger door where some very small bubbles are starting to appear at the corners and I mean small. The body is laser straight with no rust, no waves, no bondo, it has a gorgeous finish and everyone flocks around it at the shows. All of the panels are original to the car from what I can tell with the exception of the aftermarket fiberglass cowl hood that fits like a factory hood. All of the gaps are perfect, the trunk and doors shut flawlessly. You can tell by the pictures this car will hold its own at any show and most of the time it wins First Place. All of the trim and bumpers were replaced at the time of the restoration and they still look like new.

This beauty started life as a factory SS with the 327 and 4-speed but that combo is long gone. Instead it is powered by a completely custom built 383 stroker mated to a 5-Speed Jerico overdrive transmission. The 383 was completely built starting with a 4-bolt main block, forged crank, Eagle rods, J&E pistons, Comp 282 duration camshaft, Edelbrock performer intake, Holley 750 carburetor, GM 2:02 double hump heads ported and polished, noisy Pete Jackson gear drive, Hooker headers flowing into custom 3”exhaust really grab attention wherever you go. The engine is pushing about 400 horse and it really gets up and goes.

A 5-Speed Jerico Transmission was installed with overdrive that shifts excellent, the clutch is a stage 3 and was rated for 700 horsepower.

The rear is a custom built 9”with aftermarket axles, 4:10 Richmond gears and an Eaton posi- unit.

The suspension was all redone and the car rides like a Corvette, it handles extremely well and subframe connectors were installed for stability and support. The underneath is as solid as you will find with no patches. The trunk is as solid as they come with a full size spare. Power 4 wheel disc brakes were installed and the car stops better than a new Cadillac.

This beautiful SS sits on 17" TorqThrust wheels and it really sets it off at the shows, the tires only have about 1500 miles on them.

The interior was completely redone at the time of restoration with 1968 Chevelle Bucket seats that are extremely comfortable, new carpet, new autometer gauges, new sill plates, new door panels, new package tray, new headliner, the original console was completely restored and looks flawless with the 5-Speed shifter. All of the lights and gauges work with the exception of the gas gauge which is a ground because it was working prior to installing a new gas tank, and the speedo wasn't hooked up to the new Jerico transmission.

As you can tell by the pictures this car is a show car, it was built to take first place and then drive it home. It runs excellent and has never given me one problem, itdoesn't leak a drop of anything, runs cool about 195 even in rush hour traffic. Take a look at the pictures the car speaks for itself I highly doubt you will find a nicer car, especially a True 118 Vin Nova SS. Do not let this one slip past your collection you will regret it. Bid with confidence I have 100% feedback and have sold many cars over the years. Car is as advertised with a clear Florida title.
