Description:
1987 Chevrolet C-10 Silverado
Thanks for looking! (Scroll down to see some more photos.) Here's my super clean 87 C10. Had this one for about 9 months. It's the Silverado package and has all the options. Fuel-injected 350 TBI, 700R4 overdrive auto tranny, 2wd, short bed, lowered with all Belltech components & swaybars, power windows, power locks, power steering, heat/AC, dual gas tanks, all the trim is there except for the fender emblems (I was gonna get custom ones made), chrome bumpers (suburban rear), Sony Bluetooth head unit, 6x9 speakers, great tires, rubber bed mat, soft tonneau bed cover. Heat is super hot, air is super cold. Windows are slow to go up and down but it's so nice having power windows in an older fullsize truck.I was told the truck was from out west, and I got it from another guy here in Ohio. He repainted it the factory color and put a matte clear on it. Looks damn good. And the body is super straight with no rust. Truck starts up, runs great, stops great, pretty good ride too. I just drove it to Tennessee and back, Louisville and back, western Indiana and back, and Put-In-Bay and back with no problems. Plus several 2-hour round trips from Dayton to Cincinnati. I literally just get in and go with no issues. Clean and clear title in my name. I keep it garaged all the time. If I had to rate it, I'd give the outside a 9/10 and the interior at least a 7/10.
I was told the previous owner had a gooseneck hitch in it to haul a small horse trailer around. Pretty bizarre if that's all true, especially being a 2WD shortbed. Anyways, there is a square cutout in the center of the bed floor. It doesn't bother me because there's the rubber mat in there to cover it. I do have a clean piece of a stock bed floor section that will come with the truck, that you could cut down and weld that hole up. I was going to bag the truck, so I'd have to cut up the whole floor anyways, so it never bothered me. I've noticed it leaking a little tranny fluid here and there. I've added some Lucas to it a few times. I was told there was a shift kit in it, not sure though. It does shift a little higher and slightly harder than normal, but never bothered me. I haven't noticed any oil leaks.
I think it's a Flowmaster exhaust that's on it, it sounds great. The passenger side gas tank quit working one day, I think it's just the fuel pump on that side. I just use the driver side tank anyways, so no worries, I just haven't had time to replace the passenger side pump. Newer tires and battery. There's a slight area of damage on the bottom corner of the front plastic valance, assuming the previous owner went into a steep parking lot too quick. It was like that when I got it. Not even too noticeable since the truck is so low. But I have a new valance to go with it. It's an aftermarket one, and just needs the bolt holes drilled out just a bit to fit perfect.
Dash pad is aftermarket, and doesn't fit 100% perfect, but it looks good and does the job. Few rips on the bench seat fabric. I was gonna get the seat recovered but it hasn't bothered me yet. The door panels are good, the pockets are a little worn out but not bad. I like my music loud and the stereo and speakers sound great. First truck I've had with a soft bed cover. This is a really nice one. Has the 3 horizontal curved bars and the cover attaches to the frame on the sides and back, basically clipping in. Inside of the bed is nice, just some really light surface rust here and there. I've never driven it in the snow and barely in the rain. Wipers and all lights and horn work.
It's crazy how straight this truck is, and no rust or major dents or dings that I notice. Rockers, bottoms of doors, cab corners, everything is solid and clean. I wish I could keep it, bag it, and put big black Mobsteels on it, and cruise it everywhere. I prefer the 60's C10 trucks, but this one grew on me right away. It's crazy how much attention this truck receives. I've had a lot of custom vehicles over the years, and so many people come up to me at gas stations to talk to me about this one more than any of the old ones. They always ask how much I'd sell it for even though there's no for sale sign on it. Haha.
Come buy it and drive it home, have it shipped, or I'll deliver it. My name is Randy, ask me any questions you have. I have a reserve set that is very fair in my opinion, especially with how crazy C10's are these days. And squarebodies that are in this condition are getting rare, definitely in this area. If you want me to do a walk around / startup video, just message me and I can take one and upload it to YouTube and send you the link. Same with photos, I can take more as needed. Clean Ohio title in my name and in hand. Sold as-is with no warranty, but I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this badass truck. Good luck bidding. Thanks!
