Description:

1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu

Up for sale is a rare barn find that has been sitting since 1997. It's a one owner/family owned car. I purchased it from the family's grandson that it was left to. It hadn't run since it was parked. It now runs very well and is road worthy. I wouldn't drive it across country but locally.
Now to the car!It is a 1970 Chevelle Malibu with 61869 original miles. It has the 350ci block with 250hp. It is a numbers matching car from front to back. I have the build sheet for the car and the original Protect-O-Plate that came with the car!!! Everything is still original. The motor, transmission, carb, rearend, etc. it still has all the dust, dirt, and patina. The car is a factory A/C car. It was ordered with bucket seats and a center floor console shifter. I believe that's rare for a Malibu. The interior is in pretty good shape for sitting as long as it has. It needs a good scrubbing to really clean it up or restore it. The backs of the seats show some age and the kick panels too. The carpet is in great shape. The dash is in great shape. The center console isn't broken. It has the rally twos I believe on it. All four are with the car and the spare as well. The original floor mat is still in the trunk with the spare and all its accessories. The floors and trunk pan are solid and I see no rust in or on them. The vinyl top is in great shape and I can't feel any rust or holes under it. This car is a true survivor! This car is a great candidate to either clean up and drive, restore, or clone it.
Now the bad which isn't so bad. The front left headlight extension panel is missing from a small bump which caused the family to take the car away due to dementia. The lower qtrs have rust on the bottoms of them. The lower fenders have some rust as well. There are dents and bumps around the car that definitely give it character. The drivers seat has a tear where the panels is stitched together. Overall the car is pretty sweet!
I have a ton of photos that I can email anyone that is interested for more pictures of certain areas. Any other questions feel free to contact me.
