Beautiful numbers matching Fathom Blue (2-stage urethane), 1970 Chevelle SS 396 (402 c. i.) big block, backed by the original matching M-21 Muncie 4-speed and 12 Bolt 3.73:1 posi-traction differential.

As the video and photos show, this Chevelle is nicer than the day it rolled off the Baltimore assembly line.Car went through a total 'frame-off', nut & bolt restoration in 2007.Everything is either new or rebuilt.Only driven 5300 miles since restoration.

The engine was rebuilt with a Comp Cams "thumper" hydraulic roller cam, lifters, and rockers.The original intake and carburetor were replaced with an Edelbrock 'Flow Gap' intake and 750 cfm carb.

The stock exhaust manifolds were ported by Gessler and then Jet-Hot coated.Flow Master mufflers were matched to the 2 ½" exhaust.Estimated horsepower is between 425 and 450.

The original intake and carb are included.

Interior was re-done in the original material and is perfect.Including the power steering and power brakes.Everything works, including the original 8-track player.

This owner discovered a couple of special (and unique) details to SS 396 Chevelle's built at the Baltimore, MD assembly plant and this car has them.Including Chrome headlight 'eye brows' and the spark plug heat shields.

Owner has done an incredible amount of research into this Car, has all of the documentation, with receipts for work performed, and taken pain-staking detail to make this SS 396 as original (and accurate) as the day it came off the assembly line.....only better.
