1987 Chevrolet Caprice CAPRICE CLASSIC LS BROUGHAM

Up for your consideration my 1987 Chevrolet Caprice Classic LS brougham. I have owned this caprice for approx. 4 years and have driven it approx.. 5000 miles. It has historical plates on it and is insured through Hagerty insurance with the agreed upon value price of $7500.00, I have only driven it in nice weather. From my understanding of the history it is an original Texas car. The original owner loved this car and had it a very long time and he was divorced and sold it then. It wound up in Ohio and a gentleman bought it for his wife to drive and did some updates to it(I will go over those in the mechanical history of car). Well it was too big for his wife to drive so he sold it to a coworker who used it as a work car. I then run acrossthe car at a place I used to deliver to and started a conversation with that owner, it was not for sale at the time. I told him that I always wanted a Caprice Classic LS Brougham as I had a 1986 Caprice Classic that I had a very long time and lost it in my divorce years ago, and told him that it was the best car I have ever owned. He stated he was willing to sell so we came to an agreed price and as far as I know I am the fourth owner. Maybe the history report will come up with something different but that is my understanding of its history. Since purchase I have done many things to this car. I love to drive it as it is smooth and powerful. It is very clean and sports almost all its original paint. The interior is very clean and is original buckskin pillow velour. Has all power including 6 way power driver and passenger seats everything works as shouldHeadliner is decent with a couple smallimperfections. Worst part of interior is the panel that extends rear window could use to be recovered along with the different color sun visors, it is not that bad but worth mentioning. Before I Bought it at 86,600miles and within 10,000 miles or less the owner at that time put a new 195 degree thermostat in it and changed the coolant, installed new matching Dunlop tires, Brakes all around, complete tune up and installed K and N air filter, installed a brand new Edelbrock four barrel carburetor, replacedsome front end parts, shocks, he also changed transmission and rear end fluid with full synthetic. Now for the list of things I have done. Converted and charged the air conditioning to R134a, new lifetime fan clutch, new battery, complete exhaust including catalytic convertor all the way to tailpipe and sports a nice sounding stainless steel muffler, belts, hoses Recent oil change within 250 miles. I always used synthetic and the previous owner said he did also. Mechanically the vehicle is 100 percent runs as good as a carbureted vehicle can and is 100 percent reliable. I have stored this vehicle for up to a year at a time and it always starts and is ready to go again. Body wise the top surfaces and one quarter have been repainted due to minor imperfections, I installed a new grille, brand new hood ornament, installed new electrostatic lights in opera lights, brand new trunk emblem that goes over key lock, previous owner installed new filler panel between header and front bumper and he cracked the edges of it while doing so I never thought it looked that bad so I didn't do anything about it (see pics), I installed hex bolts for the locking hubcaps as original locks were broken and converted wheel lock key to a hex head, installed brand new(non GM) power antenna that works good, Installed used visors that are red in color, as passenger original visor needed a new stem and could use to be recovered or you could have the red ones recovered, installed used OEM right mirror that works as it should as original had a broken cable for the remote, I tried 2 brand new aftermarket remote mirrors that did not function like they should so I bought a used OEM those aftermarket mirrors come with vehicle as do allot of spare parts( original grille, antenna, carburetor, 2 radios for parts, sun visors, and other small spare parts. The body is rock solid on this car but is not perfect. It waxes up nice and to me looks great for a 30 year old classic. It has few minor surface rust spots, dings and scratches here and there as one would expect from a car 30 years old I will let the pictures speak for themselves. Underbody and frame are rock solid also. Other imperfections Beside the front filler cracks and visors being a different color the gas gauge seems to be 1/8 to 1/4 off to the full side, meaning it registers a little over the full when full and right at the red mark when empty. These are minor things that couldbe addressed if desired They never bothered me enough yet to worry bout them. Everything seems to work as should and Id trust it to drive anywhere, but however it is a 30 year old vehicle expect things like a sticky rear door lock from sitting or a light bulb not working or burned out. If you are expecting a brand new Caprice do not bid! This is a 30 year old well cared for caprice but it is not perfect. You are buying this vehiclejust as I did "as-is".I encourage you or your representative to come look and inspect if you like.Title is free and clear and in my possession. I would like to see this car go to a great owner who appreciated it as much as I did. It is time for me to downsize a little as I have many other vehicles and am going through a medical issue right now. This car is 100 percent ready for summer comes with a full tank of gas and is ready to drive and enjoy! This car looks and drive as a 95,000 mile car should I believe the miles are true and correct. Comes with original manual and original unused keys andcutouts, see picsAny questions or other pics I have more pics could only post 24,just let me know. I require $500.00 non refundable down payment and balance due within 7 days. 10 Or lees feedback contact me first. You are not bidding to come and look at car do that first. You are buying exactly what I am describing look at my 100%feedback. I will work with you to ship but your responsibility to set up and pay for. I can store car for reasonable time car is garaged and covered, comes with the cover pictured also. Car &title will not be released until funds are cleared. I reserve right to end at anytime as car is for sale locally. Thanks for your consideration. Oh forgot to add when I bought one of the replacement opera lights one of theinvertors was bad(passenger side). I requested a newinvertor and its on its way from China. If car is purchased and picked up before I get convertor or get it installed I will forward in invertor to new owner or send with car. It is not difficult to put in you have to take interior pillar panel loose and wire up to light outside, including removing light outside. I will TRY to have this done, I cant do this right now so I would have to try to get my son to do it. My right arm is in a sling right now due to surgery. So I depends on when part gets here and when car sells and gets picked up and If I can get my son to help in doing this so I need the buyers understanding on this. It may not get done but the new invertor and spare light will come with the vehicle. I will keep you posted thanks!
