Description:

1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Base Sedan 2-Door

The car was built from an original 50K mile solid car, third owner. Restoration Specialties of Marble Falls, Texas completely disassembled the car. The body and frame were blasted. The frame was modified to accept the LS1 and 4L60E transmission. A pocket rear suspension was added to carry the narrowed 9” rear and Caltracs bars. All new steering and suspension added along with CPP steering box and 13” front and 11” rear disc brakes. The brakes are powered by CPP Hydro Stop boost. The body was straightened, prepared, and painted (Black Mica Pearl clearcoat/basecoat). The body received new glass, mini tubs, new or refurbished stainless, chrome, one piece bumpers, billet grill, and lights.

The interior received new charcoal and gun metal upholstery by Marble Falls Upholstery along with bucket seats (Corvair), console, Haneline gauges, Ididit column, Lokar shifter, 15” Impala wheel, billet trim, vintage radio, vintage air conditioner, Lokar pedals, and Dynamat insulation.

The engine is cooled by U.S. radiator, alum w/dual fans. The G.M.P.P. LS1 was obtained from Thunderbolt Engines of Houston, Texas and is internally stock. Power adders include Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT EFI intake, Pro-Flo fuel rails, and coil covers. Street and Performance, Mena, Arkansas modified the oil pan, supplies the pulleys, brackets, AC compressor, air cleaner, fuel lines, and cables. The reduced crank pulley is from SLP. The engine harness from the Detail Zone. The engine was tuned by Solid Performance in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The 4L60E transmission was built and installed by Bible Transmissions in Marble Falls, Texas. The 9” narrowed rear with 370 gears was supplied by R & D Performance in Austin, Texas. The exhaust was built and installed by Jim’s 66 of Albuquerque, New Mexico and used Doug’s Ceramic coated headers, 2 ½ “ X-Pipes, and Magna Flow stainless mufflers.

The wheels are American Racing Custom Shop Torq-Thrust II wheels 7 X 18 front and 10 X 20 rear. Nitto Invo tires.
