Description:

1992 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Re-listing with videos of the truck running 92 Chevy short cab step-side. The body’s in fair shape for the age with damage around the door handles and front bumper mainly. Paint is peeling in places scratches dings etc. consistent with a 23 year old truck. This truck was my daily driver up until about a year ago when I parked it due to getting a smaller car that’s better on gas (my commute was about 60mi per day) It was always reliable I had planned to restore it but never got the time and am now relocating that’s the only reason I’m selling this truck.

The interior has a new Coverlay dash cap that looks great. The Door panels especially on driver’s side could use some attention and other things like needing the center A/C vents Dome light and the headlight switch I have replaced with a toggle as can be seen in the video. The heater works but A/C does not air blows out of the dash area now which works but you can’t control the direction. Has an Alpine radio with Rockford Fosgate speaker’s that work (see vid) but the speakers could use replacement.

The stickers are out so I don’t recommend driving it but it does drive. Transmission leaks a bit- I would top it off every week or so pan gasket probably needs to be redone. Front driver’s side control arm bushings need to be replaced. Parking brake light comes on sometimes even though the parking brake is off. Rear passenger side tire has a slow leak. There was a bit of hesitation upon acceleration with the truck at times when I started it up after sitting and with old gas in it after replacing the gas and letting it run the problem seems to be gone but it could probably use a tune up and throttle body cleaning. The engine and transmission were rebuilt at 220 thousand about 10 years ago I don’t have any documentation so I’m just mentioning it. Has a flow-master muffler on it. This is an 23 year old vehicle and I’m just listing what comes to mind/ I’ve noticed in driving and working on it these are typical issues you would expect with something older like this. All in all it’s a good old truck I drove as-is-with some work it would make a great project sport or off road type truck.

I recommend any buyer come and take a look as would be prudent with any older vehicle it’s difficult to describe everything about a truck like this so please take a look and be confident you want the truck BEFORE bidding - I’d be more than happy to answer any questions. Good luck and happy bidding.
