Description:

1978 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz

1978 My father bought this car brand new off the showroom of Key Cadillac in Minnesota.
Absolutely gorgeous color combination of Dark Copper over Caramel. Truly the best combination I have seen on the Eldorado. The official names for these colors likely differ.
This car was his Sunday car for years, if it was winter or if it rained the car stayed inside. Therefore this car was only wet when it was being hand washed and hand waxed. It has lived under a fitted car cover for its entire life except when in use.
The original front floor mat has never been used. My father used a piece of matching shag carpeting which he would change intermittently. I removed this from the pictures so you could see the carpet underneath. The original is in the trunk along with the undisturbed tools and spare wheel.
The top, bottom and interior of the car is perfect. The interior smells like a brand new Cadillac from the 70's. The leather is soft and supple. The steering wheel is perfect - it was wrapped in leather when new to prevent nicks or scratches. The engine compartment is perfect. The chrome is perfect. The car starts and drives like brand new. The paint is original and perfect. The miles are original.
Windows are fast, seat locks, door locks, lights, speedometer, horns, radio, antenna, blower motor, cruise and both seats 6-way electric functions all operate properly.
I have all the paperwork from brand new including emissions inspections from when our state did that in the 80's to the original window sticker. Every purchase made for this car is in that file. Many Key Cadillac service receipts among other items over the years.
In 2017 I had a number of items addressed:New Optima BatteryNew AC Delco plug wires, NOS cap and rotor along with AC Delco PlugsAir, Fuel and Oil filters
New radiator, new belts, new hoses, oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, coolant changes were doneThe fuel pump was replaced as were the headlight bulbs with NOS bulbsThe carburetor was removed and sent away for a rebuild with all new partsThe tires were changed, as the original tires were still on the carThe fender extensions and rear plastics were replaced with fiberglass replacements (most just paint the shrunken and brittle originals and fill them with news paper and bondo, not this car)
No leaks of any sort. Starts right up every spring. A flawless car. Not a nick, scratch, dent or any other damage to the car anywhere. Truly one of a kind. This car would outright take home top place preservation class in any Concourse if it just showed up as it is right now. Original paint. It will pass a paint depth test from stem to stern. I have a meter if you would like to see it tested in person.
Must be seen, it does not get better - I will assist in picking you up from the airport. If you are local you are welcome to call to arrange a showing.
