1970 Buick Electra Electra 225

Up for auction is a 1970 Buick Electra 225 Convertible. This car will need a complete restoration. It has sat for many years. When the car was parked, it was in running and restorable condition. It needed a few things, the brakes needed work and the paint was messed up.A couple years ago itwas stored outside wrapped in a tarp. It got moisture inside the tarp and rusted very badly. It is now in very poor condition, and has many problems. The drivers door and trunk lid will not open. None of the electric seams to be working, A couple wheels are frozen up, and the engine will not crank. I believe that the most of the electrical problems are just from rusty grounds. The interior is very dirty and moldy, and the top is bad.The floor boards are very rusty as is the trunk lid.The engine turns over freely by hand. Originally this car came with a 455. It developed a knock and was replaced with a very strong 430. There were no known issues with the drive train. Transmission and differential worked well. Power windows and top also worked well. The car has all 4 sport wheels. The missing one is in the back seat.
This is aproject car. There is a lot of rust.It will need extensive work to be road worthy, or it couldbe used as a parts car. The value in this car lies in the fact that it's a convertible. These are getting very hard to find.If you are just interested in parts, please let me know. I may consider parting it if it does not sell. I may also be able to come up with the original 455.
