In my search for projects I ran across this one owner 1980 Buick Skylark Limited 4 door (Not Iran) . . . With a current North Carolina Inspection and could not pass it up so I put it on the trailer and brought it home !!!
This car has 80, 500 original miles . . . The body is straight with no rust . . . Engine is the optional LE2 V6 115 HP starts and runs smooth . . . Transmission is fully automatic and tight with no slipping at all . . . The tires are fresh . . . Brakes excellent . . . Steering is tight .,.. Has the factory original AM radio and the donut spare looks to have never been used . . . The Ac does not work (I believe it needs to be charged) . . . The gas gauge also is not operating . . . This car is clean with a great history . . . It was bought new by a Canton NC resident from AN-CAN Buick car dealership in Canton . . . The car has original paint and vinyl top and you can tell it has been garage kept since it was a baby . . . I found the car in an enclosed metal barn where it had spent the last several years and drove it out of the barn! The owner stated the car had been driven every month or so since 1996 just to keep it in running condition . . . This is a great find . . . Clean title . . . asking 3000.00 obo
Information = The new front-wheel drive Skylark was introduced in the spring of 1979 as an early 1980 model featuring front wheel drive, MacPherson strut front suspension and transversally mounted engine. The new optional 60 degree 2.8 L V6 was designed specifically for the X-cars. This platform became the basis for nearly all future GM front wheel drive vehicles. LE2
The 2.8 L LE2 was the first version of the 60° engine. It was a transverse version produced from 1980 through 1986 for the A-Body and X-body cars. The standard ("X-code") engine for this line, it used a 2-barrel carburetor. Output was 115 hp (86 kW) for 1980 and '81 112 hp (84 kW) for 1982-86 and 135 lb•ft (183 N•m). Bore was 89 mm (3.5 in) and stroke was 76 mm (3.0 in).
