Description:

1983 BMW 3-Series I

My wife bought this car from her sister, the original owner, in about 1995 when it had around 43k miles. It has all original paint. It was occasionally driven to work and consequently has a few parking lot dings, but the overall finish is like a mirror. Most of my photos are showing the reflections of the tree limbs or the house. This car is a highly maintained driver that is registered and insured as an antique where use limits greatly reduce the mileage. My ebay rating reflects 20 yrs of membership, but I just registered as a seller this week. The car features:BBS basket weave alloy wheels, incl.spare- resprayed to repair damage by clip-on wheel balance wt.,

Recarro Front sport seats- new vinyl covers from EBAY seller zoomzoomzoom-ing,

Limited Slip Rear Differential,

Rear Stabilizer bar- base model has none,

Leather 3-spoke Steering wheel with an extended base that mounts the wheel 2-3 inches closer to the driver,

Front Sport Air Dam- sprayed to repair speed bump damage,

Extra-Large trunk toolkit,

Front Bumper tuck- 5 mph shocks are compressed about 3 inches and collapsible trim pieces modified,

Vinyl replaces all the original cloth on the seats and doors,

Radio- recent upgrade to a Grundig head unit with a custom rear speaker channel including a woofer mounted in the trunk which fires through the seat back. The speaker grill has been custom tailored into the seat back vinyl cover,

Trunk lid emblem was removed and the mounting holes filled but could use a professional blending,

The 5-speed transmission- totally refurbished by Metric Mechanic ($3.2k),

Stainless Steel down pipe and catalytic,

Chrome finished vinyl trim around front and rear windows was replaced after the OE turned rusty looking,

A/C was seldom needed and consequently and will need restoration,

A trunk filled with documentation, OE spares including the OE mats and Yakima single bike carrier.
