1973 BMW 2002

For sale is a 1973 BMW 2002. I have owned the car for two years now, and have been using it as my on-and-off daily driver since. I purchased the car in California and moved up to Portland a year ago in it. I take this car on road trips, camping trips, and up winding Mt. Hood roads, and the car loves it. That being said, it is a 40-year old car, and needs love from time to time, which I have been happy to keep up with. Unfortunately for me, it is time to let this one go, and time for somebody else to enjoy this fabulously steadfast machine.
Original M10 motor is still very healthy, with ~145 compression at all cylinders last time I checked. Doesn’t burn or leak oil (outside of normal tolerances), and only needs maybe 1/4 quart of oil between oil changes. Doesn’t smoke. The odometer reads 02791 miles, ~13,000 miles of which I’ve put on, with the odometer still rolling (yes, the odometer rolled over while I owned the car). 4-speed Transmission has no problems. No pop-outs or grinds and shifts into all gears easily.
In the first year of my ownership I made proper rust repairs to pretty typically rust-wrought areas and had it resprayed in the original Inka orange color after being sealed with epoxy primer. However, front and rear shock towers are completely untouched and original and rust-free. I have a folder with records and receipts dating back to 1996 for whatever that’s worth, too.
As far as the car’s interior is concerned, it’s very decently clean, but not completely original by any stretch. The carpet is blue, and the seats and door panels are tan. The door panels are from a 74+ model, but are very clean and intact. The dash is in fairly nice shape, with pretty minimal cracks. The headliner is in really good shape.
Oregon tags are good until 7/17.

Known issues:
Driver side door lock cylinder is missing.
Oil puddle accumulates around base of cylinder head, but there are no leaks anywhere on the car that
puddle on the ground, amazingly.
All tires but one match. Currently have full-size spare on one wheel.
I believe that covers just about everything with my 2002. I welcome any questions and/or appointments to see the car by serious parties. I can also take additional photos. This car is not perfect or completely original, but is a very, very fun and reliable driver's car as it sits. Thanks for looking!
