1971 AMC Javelin

Here is a RARE Javelin. While there are plenty of 304 automatic cars running around and even many Javelin AMX survivors there are hardly ever 4 speed cars as either Javelins or 71-74 AMX's. I should know, I have owned about 50 of them and still have many standing by. This is the only 1971 4 speed Javelin I have seen in thirty years in California. I have two 1971 AMX's and both are 360 automatics. So for the collectors who are serious about only the performance AMC's here is a real "P" code 360 4 barrel car and also a real "M" code car for the 4 speed. A 360 4V, 4speed Javelin is AMC's equivalent of a Z28 Camaro. This one is a bare bones option car, NO A/C, manual steering, manual drum brakes, non posi rear, regular guages. Exactly what I like, never cared much for clutter under the hood but some prefer options everywhere. I owned this car 15 years ago and drove it for about six months then sold it to a friend who drove it a short while and parked it. I bought it back a few months ago but have decided to see if there is a collector ready to restore this rare AMC. It is in original paint, never repainted. Has had lousy touch ups a long time ago that faded worse than original paint. You can see it on passenger door and driver side rear quarter. Paint under hood, under deck lid and in jams all original. Rear tires near new, and front tires very near new. Seats need to be redone. Headliner turning to dust. Carpet replaced once and poorly done. Trunk and floors solid. All trim for windows will be included. Grill has some cracks but no peices missing. This car is a real California car and very solid. Some rust starting at corner of rear window but very mild. It runs and drives fine and has a few new bushings up front. Trunk is solid. No major dents and some at back can be reached from inside trunk.Resto cars don't come much easier than this one. This is the second time I am listing this car as the first time I had to end the auction because I could not find the dash vin. I found it during the last auction in the glove box but ebay could not allow me to remove any pics to post the pic of the vin tag so here it is again. Dash pad was changed and vin tag was removed from old one to be put on this one. Last week I also had Canoga Carb rebuild the carb on it as I noticed a slight leak and the car had sat awhile so that is another $230 into this car. I can be reached at 818 321 7667 if you have questions or ask them here on ebay.
