1972 Yellow Rare E Model Fuel Injected Automatic Mechanically Restored

What we have here is a 1972 Volvo P1800E in very good (restorable) condition. The car has just under 1,000 miles on her since the rebuild and actual mileage is unknown. She is finished in Yellow with a Black vinyl interior and overall, this vehicle has been gone through mechanically and needs minor body work and a new paint job to make her a beautiful car.
This 1972 Volvo P1800E was purchased in San Francisco - by the current owner - 10 years ago and since then, all mechanical components (engine, auto trans, brakes, instruments) and the interior have been restored to original. The suspension was in good condition but an IPD sway bar was added for additional stability. The original 2.0 Liter engine - which is coupled to its original Borg Warner 3 Speed Automatic transmission - was built and dyno-tuned with new Mikuni sidedrafts by Dave Rebello Racing and has a mid-range cam. The owner found this cam to be the best for the car as peak torque and HP are in the 3000 to 4500 RPM range - excellent for freeway driving and around town. The cam adds another 15 HP to the original 115. The car is currently being converted back to the original fuel injection (the fuel injection fuel pump is rebuilt) and in addition, is being fitted with a new wiring harness.
The dash is not restored and has a dash cap. Only paint and minor bodywork remain - there is minor rust in the sills (normal for these cars) and a small hole on the driver's side floor. The fuel tank has been removed, sealed with an aviation sealer and replaced. It should be permanently without leaks and rust free.
This car is fast, elegant and in need of a new owner. Cars like this are rare and do not come along often so do not let the chance to own her pass you by.
