1987 Volvo 240

Up for sale is a 1987 Volvo 244 (240 DL sedan). "Redblock" B230F 4-cylinder gasoline engine, automatic transmission. Odometer doesn't work but shows 179K.
The good:No rust in floors or rockers that we have found. Runs, drives, and stops well. Transmission shifts smoothly and overdrive works as it should. Heat works fine as does the blower motor. Oil and transmission fluid changed 3/26/2016. New Bosch plug wires and new fuel pump relay. Exhaust is quiet. All electrics seem to work except where noted below.
The bad: The clear coat is shot. The interior needs a good cleaning. It needs two front tires as they are quite worn out and out of balance. It may need a front end alignment. Passenger tail lamp was repaired with red "lens" tape, and the drivers side tail lamp is faded. Windshield has a crack that should not affect inspection, at least in Delaware. Clear coat is shot and there are some dings and dents. No radio (though I may be able to throw in a good used CD player with USB for an additional cost if the buyer so desires). Headlights appear to be new, but are loose and out of alignment. AC does not seem to be working, but appears to have been converted to R134a. It could be that it is too cold out for it to operate, or it is low and requires a charge.
We only put about 6 miles on this car since acquiring it (our standard test drive), so we can only describe what we know about it. We try to be honest and disclose every possible detail. That said, the car is being sold AS IS.
Car to be picked up in Newark, Delaware (USA) 19702. Vehicle is being sold as is, where is. No warranty expressed, implied, or otherwise offered. No refunds will be given for any reason whatsoever. This vehicle is 29 years old. Your bid/purchase is a legally binding contract. A $250.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 24 hours after the sale. Since we are a licensed dealer in The State of Delaware, an additional $135.00 fee will be charged to cover administrative fees. We DO NOT offer temporary tags. If you are a licensed dealer, we will waive this fee, but ONLY if you are a licensed dealer and can prove this. The vehicle will be signed over to your dealership using your dealer license number. This is non-negotiable. Buyer MUST provide the name and address (as shown on their drivers license) as well as the drivers license number and state. A copy/picture of the drivers license sent to us would be the most effective way of doing this. Full payment due within 3 days unless other arrangements are made and agreed to by both parties. Payment to be made in the form of cash upon pickup, or certified bank check (will have to clear before vehicle and title leave our possession). Any other payment methods MUST be agreed upon prior to hitting "buy it now." Paypal ONLY accepted for the deposit, unless other arrangements are discussed prior to the sale. Pick up within 10 days. Storage of $25.00 per day starting on day 11 if the vehicle is not picked up, again,unless other arrangements are made and agreed upon.I am a reasonable person, and am more than willing to work with the buyer if they are up front and honest with us. I will also be happy to assist in shipping the car if necessary, i.e. work with the shipper or recommend shippers if we can. We would be happy to work with international buyers. Thanks for looking!.
