This Vanagon camper is equipped with 2.1 L engine 4 speed manual transmission, It has the very nice and sought after super awesome leather Chrysler stow and go front seat conversion installed, It has a full size bed, fold-up table, This Vanagon is extra clean inside. Outside the paint appears to be mostly original and has been touched up in places here and there. The paint is decent but it is not Museum quality.. there are dents, dings and stone chips that were touched up, but over all it looks good and is still shiny... great for a daily driver/camper. This is a good simple weekend camper for someone that is looking to get into Volkswagen van camping at a reasonably cheap price. This Vanagon appears to have had a re-manufactured engine installed at one time although the current mileage on the engine is unknown. The van it self is showing 196k miles on the body. The van was road tested and the engine runs strong and transmission works as it should and there were no over heating issues during the 5 mile road test. Shifter may need adjusted if anything. This vehicle has been off the road since 2017 and will require maintenance / tune up or other mechanical work to be done before it is used as a driver. This vehicle was purchased by our dealership through dealer wholesale so we unfortunately do not not have any maintenance records available. This VW does have AC but is currently not hooked up. We did notice the water pump is slightly dripping coolant. I would recommend a new water pump and seal and then just as a precautionary measure possibly a GoWesty high volume oil pump due to an occasional oil light blink when coming off the highway (typical Vanagon issue) More can be read about this issue on the GoWesty web site under high volume oil pump. Please keep in mind that this is a vintage Volkswagen and it does have drips here and there....They like to mark their spot!!! As I said before this Vanagon was road-tested 5 miles or more it goes down the road strong and drives straight it shifts through all four gears and the engine appears to be running as it should with no overheating issues the temp gauge stayed just under half way the whole time. If you are looking to get into a decent VW Vanagon tin top camper this is the one for you.
