1990 VW Vanagon - very good mechanical condition

1990 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Over the last 2 years me and my best friend have worked to make this vehicle mechanically reliable and stable. The entire cooling system has been rebuilt, engine has been taken apart(heads) to replace original head gaskets and other seals, dashboard circuitry has been upgraded. Radiator fan circuitry and fan have been fixed and replaced. All other non-working parts have been replaced as is listed below. Overall, the total money having gone into the reconditioning of this vehicle stands at about $17-18,000 not including the vehicle purchase price. For the price that this vehicle is being sold this will be the best mechanical condition vehicle in my opinion. Most vehicles sold for under $10k appear to just be base vehicles that have immense rebuilding needs for their age. This vehicle has had an unspeakable amount of issues resolved and brought into a nominal condition. My friend has moved away and I no longer have the ability to pursue "van life" at the moment. I plan to storage the vehicle for future use but it is also not a good idea to keep it stationary for years as that might develop issues of its own. If i find the right buyer who understands these vehicles and wants to carry on the torch I'm willing the sell it to the right person.
