1982 VW Caddy (Rabbit Pickup) 1.6TD with 5 speed Manual. This truck originally had 78,000 miles on in when it was purchased by the previous owner from Georgia and restored. Since restoration I've put around 23,000 miles on it over a period of 4 years. The truck has never been driven in any Salt and always is kept in the garage (No Rust).
This truck is far from a stock truck but maintains the classic look of the 80's rabbits. The engine block is original to the truck but has an added turbo from a Jetta as well as the 5 speed trans. There are no leaks but these motors due use oil from normal driving. Service has always been preformed up to the Bentley manual schedule.
This truck is a great cruising truck and can reach up to 75mph on the highway but is not recommended for an extended period. You can expect to Avg 40mpg between city and highway driving. The underside has been completely under coated as well as treated with Fluid Film every 6 months. Paint is all around 7 out of 10 with some chipping along the bed rails from use.
