This is a NO RESERVEsale so bid to your hearts content.
For sale is this 1976 VW westfalia 4 speed with a 2.0 fuel injected type 4 motor and full interior fittings. The bus is located in Lawrence, KS. It has a clear title and no accident history. 2 keys will be provided. The vehicle runs and drives and only requires a brake bleeding job and timing adjustment to be consistent driver and do highway speeds. Its not a show car but would be great for road trips or commuting.
It is complete and has everything needed to get you going. It is equipped with a sink with water tank, a cooler and a number of places to store your items. It is also a pop top which is great for sleeping 4-5 people but it has been patched and will need a new canvas eventually.
The bus runs and drives and has new engine parts including coil, cap, rotor, spark plugs, spark plugs wires and many other components. All fuel lines have been replaced, as well as a new fuel pump and filters. Passenger side front seat needs rails. All lights work but some need the bulbs replaced. I may be missing some other small things so feel free to ask anything. I have videos of the bus running and driving and can send them on request.
The rust is minimal and none is on the frame or structural areas. however it needs small work on battery tray, lower section of the siding door and a small section of passenger side floor As well as other small areas. The front passnger seats needs re upholstery and a rail.
I've had the pleasure of owning this 1976 VW westfalia for a time now but due to time commitments i can no longer work on it. I hope the new owner will finish this bus and enjoy it as it sure is a head turner.
