1966 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Beautiful Bug - Lots of New Parts - NO RESERVE

For sale is an absolutely stunning 1966 Volkswagen Beetle Bug.
The Volkswagen Beetle or Type 1 as it was called, has cemented itself as one of the all time greats in the history of automobiles. The sheer simplicity, good looks, reliability and practicality made them a strong seller and peoples favorite for nearly 50 years. Over those 50 years there were quite a few tweaks and changes, however the cars always stayed within reason of that original design. The highest quality steel and build quality, and in my opinion best looking, was from 1965 - 1966. These were the years of the Porsche style glass headlight covers, pre impact bumpers, and slightly larger windows increasing visibility. Whichever style is your favorite style, the classic Bug is a still a great car today, and they seem to have been increasing in value and desirability.
When the work was started on this 1966 Bug, the goal was to create a sort of "greatest hits" car. This meant that wanted to piece together our favorite bits from different years, much like some companies have been doing with Porsche's recently. So many hours and thousands of dollars have been poured into this little car. The paint is new and is ready to show. The bumper is new, along with the mirrors, roof rack and more. The interior is where the quality shows. It has fold forward, low-back seats, new carpet, new headliner, EMPI shifter and more. The engine and trans is the most exciting part of the build. The engine is a freshly rebuilt 1600, with a dual port, dual carburetor and highflow exhuast. The new engine and trans run strong and it was built with reliability and power in mind.
Overall, this is a great little Bug. It is being sold as-is, with no warranty expressed or implied, with mileage exempt due to age. All inspections to be done prior to auction close. I wish I didn't have to sell this little '66, but I hope the new owner loves it as much as I have.
sold at NO RESERVE!Good luck!
