Up for auction is a 1969 Volkswagen Westfalia. This vehicle ran when parked five years ago, but will need hydraulic repair to the brake system. The vehicle is not currently drivable and has not been run or driven in five years. Buyer assumes all responsibility for repairs and will have the vehicle towed or trailered from its current location.
Like many Volkswagen vehicles of the era this bus has rust, dents and dings on many panels. That said I have not found any structural rust issues and believe this to be a usable staring point for a project or restoration. Amateur repairs to the rockers, rear corners and other panels were performed by the previous owner. Buyer should assume that many components will need to be replaced or repaired before this bus can be safe to drive again.
When last driven the transmission shifted well. The interior is incomplete, missing the original kitchen and other Westfalia components. We would love to put this bus back on the road ourselves but many projects, not enough time, and a need for space force this sale. Total mileage of this vehicle is unknown and therefore listed as 000.
Buyer will pay $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction close. This vehicle is sold on a clean and clear title, buyer will receive the Oregon title and a bill of sale after payment of the final auction value. Buyer assumes all responsibility for transport and repair of this vehicle. I am available to show the vehicle for the next ten days, I would much prefer that potential bidders come inspect this old bus before placing a bid.
