Up for sale is this stunning 1962 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia coupe! This Ghia is an original California car that lived its entire life there until just a couple months ago. This Ghia received a complete pan off restoration just a few years ago (2500 miles on the restoration) It was a true and complete nut and bolt restoration. Every part of this Ghia is either brand new or restored aside of the original glass which was all re-installed after paint. The front fenders were modified during the restoration in order to retro fit Porsche 356 headlights which really complete the look of the car. They flow beautifully with the lines of the front fender and set the car apart! The front end features a brand new narrowed 4" beam with disc brakes that work amazing. The motor is a freshly built 1600 DP that features a "one-off" custom exhaust that has been ceramic coated. The transaxle is a completely rebuilt freeway flyer that shifts flawlessly. The interior was completely re-done with all top notch parts right down to the german weave carpet. The nose of the Ghia is pristine and never been hit. The car is straight and true from every angle. Pacific Blue and Blue white top is the original paint scheme. All chrome was removed and re-chromed. In the past month we have replaced the tires with a set of wide whitewalls, 165 rear, and 145 fronts. We also installed a set of stainless steel Euro bumpers. We have brand new lower side trim and clips that are included in the sale, but not installed. This Ghia starts first time, every time, with just one quick pump of the gas pedal. All lights, gauges, switches, and HEAT all work excellent. Original radio is in tact but is not hooked up as the entire car has been properly converted to 12v. The original clock was replaced with a very cool, and fully functional tachometer that really sets the car off. This Ghia comes with a clean and clear California title.
