1960 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

This truck is one of my favorites to drive around. People just never see them and it attracts a lot of attention. The vehicle is pictured at a lowered position but will go lower. If raised the truck will accommodate larger tires giving it an entirely different look. The vehicle was found in upstate NY and the body remains pretty much as it was found on the exterior. It has not been clear coated. The only work done was the installation of raised front seat bases for tire clearance. The patina is awesome and the interior remains original with the exception of the seats which are professionally reupholstered with coffee bags from around the world. The dash also remains uncut.Mechanically the truck has had major modifications. Engine is a fresh 1600cc engine that runs excellent.The brakes are new from the wheel cylinders and pads to the brake lines and master cylinder. The suspension was customized with a narrowed front end which is adjustable and reverse king pins. It does still have the original reduction boxes and split case transmission which function well. All of the electrical has been gone through and everything except the horn works well.New tires were installed just a month ago so it is ready for the road.
