1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia

1971 VW Karmann Ghia convertible, Signal Orange, no hit body, engine starts and runs, transmission good in all 4 forward gears and reverse. We have driven the car on the service road in front of our shop. Brakes will need service, but we were able to drive the car and go through the gears and stop with the hand brake. Clutch feels good. Car appears to be complete but missing spare tire and tool kit. Nose area is very clean with no accidents. Gaps are fine. Lower rockers have been primered but are very solid and need little repair. Body is very straight and lower rockers under doors and lower front fenders are very solid. Slight rust around torsion bar covers on body.Long time North Carolina car. Some rust on floor. The channels and torsion bar area are good. Great color combination. Last year of bow tie bumper.4 Speed manual transmission. Should make a great restoration.
