Description:

1966 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

Anyone looking for a truly magnificent rust free SURVIVOR camper?Up forbid with a low reserveis this original 1966 Sundial named "Sunny". This is a bus you can confidentially fly in, jump in and cruise home on the interstate passing traffic at 70mph plus. I personally have driven this balanced and blueprinted 2017cc powered bus up and down the east coast a few times with the owner. A truly incredible bus built for endless modern day road trips ...in vintage style. Truly engineered for the best driving experience possible in a classic VW Bus.

Here is the run down on the details:

Mostly original paint, rust free, straight as an arrow andall original sheet metal bus. Very little to talk about with the body on this bus, she's spectacular!

Sundial camper interior is original and very good condition with only minimal wear due to being 51 years old.

My understanding is it started it's life in Hawaii then went to California and then went to Oregon and after that a friend of mine bought it. He drove it home from Oregon to South Carolina.

Since then a new engine and trans have been built for the bus and here are the specs, 2017 cc. 78mm stroke by 90.5 mm bore. Balanced, blueprinted, forged pistons, h-beam forged rods, Engle k-8 cam. Dual 40mm HPMX carbs, stainless braided fuel lines, deep sump, remote oul cooler with fan, Accu-Sump pre lube, Mallory vacuum advance distributor. Runs cool at 65-70 mph for hours on end.

Transmission and reduction boxes rebuilt by William Craddock with taller gears for improved highway drivability
