YouTube famous Single CabAlso used for filming a cable series.Own a single cab for a fraction of the price of others.
The Bad:This vehicle carries a salvage California TitleEngine runs but needs top end rebuild according to my VW mechanic (very low in power)Salvage due to a rear left quarter panel accident (see picture of engine bay), non-professional job of welding new panel on and repaint. Does not look bad though. Seems like it was done a long time ago.Bed was welded on from donor single cab. Weld line can be seen about a foot and a half under rear window exterior where top truck bed metal was added. Does not look terrible.Heat shield is home made but does the job. Blinkers are controlled by a switch and could use some work (original blinker control missing)High beams do not workno horn buttonMay need new battery or rechargeSpeedometer needs replacingMissing engine bay lock / handle
The good:Very little rustSolid treasure chest and front floors (a few small welds on front floors done decades ago)Safari WindowsI have blinker assembly (needs a bolt)Solid roofSolid body (has waves here and there--not a car to restore but to drive as is and enjoy)With a top end rebuild this will be a great cruiser and could be a work truck or daily driver.It gets oohs and ahhs everywhere it goes.
