1961 Volkswagen VW Single Cab Dropgate Pickup Truck - Barn Find, Stored Away!

1961 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon Truck

Time to free up our garage and make room for winter!I found this in a barn / shop about 6-7 years ago and was able to pull it out last spring. It was stored away on jack lifts for 30+ years. This is incredible old VW and we hate to see it go. To the best of my ability I’ve listed some info about the VW below to help but please feel free to contact me for more info.
Interior: Seat missing, top ceiling area has damage to wind vent (was cut out but I have the vent). Top of body cab has some dents and rust. Floor has some typical rust by doors but not bad compared to others I’ve seen. Some damage to gauges but easily repaired. Door panels missing, doors close but one handle sticky to open. Cardboard in cab picture is the glass for the truck.
Exterior: Body has some typical rust spots but again its been inside for 30+ years. Front cab has few dings on nose. Doors have a primer paint that was applied, blue paint is still under it for somebody who knows how to gently remove primer. Gates are straight and look good. Some rust and holes on inside of gates. Back flat bed is amazing, very few dents, etc. Some dents on passenger side rear panels and some dents on rear end. You can see previous owner was trying to get them out and was almost there. Treasure chest door opens on one side but doesn't lock. Other treasure door doesn't open at all but can with attention. Treasure floor looks good. Back engine door removed and included. It has some dings and holes in it.
Frame: Frame and underbody look good, very little rust and relatively clean! Underside of wheel wells looking good too, little rust but paint can still be seen.
Engine: Engine is included. Not sure of condition of engine. This was sitting in the shop / barn and I am not sure if its original to the truck. Engine bay very clean, ready for engine install.
Tires: Pictures show 2 spare tires attached to back. I am including one original spare wheel / tire but have other 2 original tires for back, included 4 wheel caps too. Truck rolls, one brake is not connected on back so it doesn't lock and park in place. A few tires hold air but others air down after a week.
Misc: Picture shows that rear bumper is included too. Some spare parts and the interior ceiling vent. Custom iron bed rack included with truck.
Clear title in hand. It has a cool history to Vanguard Volkswagen Repair in California and hope to find it a good home. A deposit is required to hold the truck and full payment is due before VW is released to transport. All transportation arrangements are the buyer's responsibility. VW can only be held for 2-3 weeks, the snow is almost here!!
