1977 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic Super Beetle
1977 Volkswagen Type I Super Beetle Convertible. 4 cylinder. 98,800 original miles.I have owned this car for 12 years. It has been driven only for fun and has always been kept in an enclosed garageThe black convertible top looks great up or down. This Super Beetle has a clean interior. There are no cracks in the dash. The front and rear seats are white vinyl. There is a radio included but it is not connected. The 4-speed gearbox shifts great and makes driving this convertible a lot of fun.It has drum brakes on all four wheels that were recently adjusted by the mechanic. The previous owner converted the fuel injection to a carburetor on the 1.6L engine. The vehicle has been serviced regularly by local repair shops. A new starter was recently installed. The car is registered and passed state inspection in 2015. I have all service records since I have owned the car. I have spent over $4K on improvements and repairs since owning the car; I have all of the service records. It is ready to go!
The sale includes a boot cover and a brand new, never-installed convertible top and headliner. The new TMI black canvas top and white vinyl headliner are worth over $700.
Several items worth noting:There are several chips and surface rust imperfections in the exterior paint. An exterior paint job would make the car look like new. Mechanically the Beetle is in great condition with no known defects. There is no headliner on the interior of the convertible top; There are no springs to hold up the trunk lid; Radio is included but not connected.
These Beetles are an excellent investment and something you can enjoy driving.
