Description:

1973 Triumph TR-6 1973 TRIUMPH TR-6 CONVERTIBLE, OVERDRIVE

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this very nice TR-6 Convertible factory fitted with the desirable Overdrive gearbox. This car was recently purchased from South Dakota out of the collection of a Subaru dealership owner who had a passion for TR-6's. It's in very good general condition overall, something that feels quite approachable, begging to be used daily as around town transport. The car is appears 100% rustfree and accident free. The body on this car appears very good with per factory gaps to all of the panels. Paintwork is older but nice, but does show some staining, chips, a few under paint blemishes, a few small dings. Nevertheless it still looks very presentable. Bumpers look good along with the rest of the brightwork. The car's interior looks excellent with a new dash top pad, switch plinth, crash pads, wood facia, new carpets, very nice seats and panel kit, new top, top boot. Everything fits nicely as it should. The car could use some new seat belt receptors. All of the instruments appear in working order and look crisp and clean. The car's steering wheel is fairly nice.Mechanically, the car has no issues. It starts easily on the key once fuel fills the carburetors, runs well on choke with no smoke, good oil pressure, no noises. The clutch bites well and the car shifts smoothly through all the gears. Tires look newer. The runs and drives fine without any faults, and the car's mileage seems and feels accurate. A general service/ look over is recommended before being put into daily use.The car's underside appears solid and rustfree, being kept indoors most all of it's life. The car has a restored spare rim, but would need a tire fitted. It includes a jack and handle.Overall, a desirable Overdrive TR-6 in nice original colors, this car is just in time to be enjoyed for Spring. It's in good running/driving/cosmetic condition with no immediate needs. This attractive 70's sportscar is very good value and would be a rewarding and fun driver.
