Description:

1963 Triumph TR3 4-SPEED. 60-SPOKE WIRES. WOOD/ALLOY STEERING WHEEL.

Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this attractive and very decent TR3B Roadster delivered new with the 2.2 liter engine and full syncromesh gearbox. This car was just purchased from it's seller in the state of Tennessee, who just wasn't using the car enough. The TR3B is the rarest of the sidecurtain cars, and this is a scarce offering is one of only 2800 worldwide. The body on this car is quite decent. The main floors, inner rockers, trunk floor, spare tire compartment all look very original, solid, and excellent. The right outer rocker is bubbly and eventually needs repair/replacement along with some repair to the LH front fender, possibly some paint spot repair. The rest of the car looks really good. Paintwork is older with a few dings, touched up chips, small dent on the LH front, but is definitely attractive and presentable from 10 feet. The car's interior presents decently with nice nice comfortable seats in vinyl, good panels and carpet. The original temperature gauge is currently removed but included, and needs to be rebuilt ($175). The ampmeter glass lense is included, needs installing. The gauges all function well. The car includes all of the black full weather equipment pictured: nice tonneau cover, good top with some rear window yellowing, aftermarket sidecurtains, and some floormats.Mechanically, the car is very strong. The engine starts easily on the key, revs well with 70 psi oil pressure, with no smoke or unusual noises. The clutch bites well and the gearbox shifts nicely. The brakes function well, but are a little sticky from sitting, needing a general service. Overall, the car drives very well and is great fun out on the road. This TR3B presented here is a rare sidecurtain TR. It looks nice in the right colors, sitting on 60-spoke chrome wire wheels. It runs and drives very good, and is well priced for it's next enthusiastic owner to carry out a few more improvements.
