Few Toyota fans know that the 1981 Toyota Trekker 4WD Pickup was the brainchild of Brookfield, isconsin’s very own Jack Safro. The concept was approved by Toyota and executed in collaboration between long-time Toyota dealer Safro, hose son John is known as the authority on the model, nd Winnebago Industries, nc. Based on the Hilux 4x4 Pick up, he Trekker was outfitted with a fiberglass rear body and extra seating to appeal to the SUV market, nd was quite a success with over 1,200 units sold in a 2 year period over three model years. The Trekker was also, orgive the play on words, he forerunner to Toyota’s wildly successful 4Runner that was introduced in 1984.
This Wisconsin native Trekker has been reborn with the style of the eighty’s off road craze. It was given a frame-on restoration that has returned it to truly exceptional condition, o the extent that any Toyota dealer would be proud to display it in his showroom. The custom interior includes many driver and passenger comforts, eclining bucket seats, enter console, ower steering and brakes, R-5 gauges, tereo system, ntermittent wipers and tinted glass. Driven by the reliable and economical 20R SOHC 4 cylinder. The performance engine rebuild includes a Weber carb, ustom intake manifold, erformance camshaft and header provide plenty of additional power. It has only been driven test miles since completion.

Sales tax:

As a Wisconsin based business, e are required to charge sales tax to items shipped within the state or items picked up at our location. Vehicles will be charged their WI county and stadium sales taxes based on where the vehicle is kept. Dodge County, isconsin sales tax is 5.5%.

Vehicle License and Registration:

As a registered Wisconsin Motor Vehicle Dealer, e are required to file for your title, icense and Registration or transfer for Wisconsin based customers.

Thank you for your interest in the Pre-runner.
Absolutely. It has a clear title. It was registered in CA prior to our purchasing it a couple of years ago. It is a street driven truck in CA and WI. It is up to the regulations in each state as to passing any state required inspections. They differ from state to state. It has lights, urn signals, mergency flashers', rake lights, ipers, irrors, eat belts, t looks like all of the emission equipment is in place excluding the catalytic converter(no longer required in WI). I am just trying to be up-front regarding the tire condition of the vehicle.
