1972 Porsche 914

Here is a 1972 Porsche 914 1.7 This car was in a barn that wasn't sealed up that good from the elements. This car is going to need a lot of TLC. It looks like it was parked because it was wrecked in the front. The Hood is screwed down, Because the latch will not hold it in this condition. While it was parked, someone pulled some misc. parts off of it.
Here is some of the items that I see that it will need in the full restoration that the car will need: Hood, Front bumper, lower front valance, 1 fog lens and bezel, gauge holder, dash switches, drivers door handle, drivers side sail trim, 914 emblem, jack, outside mirror, exhaust / muffler, back roll bar pad, headlight bulbs, sun visors, Dome light.
This is good car and are I feel a good investment, ten years ago this would have been a parts car and it may still be that way but I feel it could be restored. I have seen a lot of people restoring a car in worse condition. The car was original equipped with dealer A/C and is missing the under dash unit, looks as thou the dryer, condenser and hoses are still intact. The engine is not running. The oil is black NOT milky so it may be fine but I feel a rebuild is in need. The seats are not bolted down but have the tracks. The car will need some metal work in longtitudes and floor pans, sails, door jams, some maybe in rear trunk, I think with a another hood and bumper it would be a lot better. Drivers door has some rust through not sure why in this location bottom seems to be ok.
I have some parts that I am including for a restoration. Some parts I have are the fiberglass rocker panels (I put the drivers side on). Drivers side lower sail trim is bad, so Im including a better one. Also have a ignition switch with key since someone drilled out the one on the car. Rain pan and shift rod since those were missing. Engine cover with grill piece that says "Porsche", I think someone tried to get into engine bay and messed up the engine lid and the bracket that holds onto car is welded on and it is broken off so I un bolted the other side. That is why im including another lid and grill piece. The wires behind the fuse panel and were the switches were, are cut. The rear trunk lid pass. side bolt was broken off so the hinge is loose it will need to be re-drilled and tapped but seems solid there. The drivers door handle is broken, it opens from inside, the pass. side i cant open from outside so I left window down a little to get my arm inside, I will look into why it wont open from the outside. The car comes with some papers and I do believe the car was purchased in Missouri and has a clean Missouri title, I think the car last seen the road was in 1983. It also has the original key that fits the front hood lock and glove box. Speaker covers look good. Paint code is silver metallic L96, It looks as thou it may have had 1 respray in the original color?.
This car will need a full restoration and not for the intimidated. I have lots of pictures and I can send more to you. Also, If you would like larger pictures, Please let me know & I will send them to you.Clean Missouri Title in hand!I can provide a Bill of sale if needed.
This car rolls and steers Someone took the front pass. caliper off probably because it was stuck? It is included with it. Someone made some custom sail panels as well & they are included. Glass looks all good and original
