I have a 1987 one family owned Porsche 924S for sale. It wasoriginally bought in Texas and the current owner bought it from his Mother-in-law in 1990 with 7,374 miles on it. It had been his daily driver until last year. He said it has only been titled in Texas, New Mexico, and now Tennessee. He has been in Tennessee since 1999.First the good. The body has no rust and never has had any. It had a complete repaint along with all new window weather stripping in 2013. The front valance panel is dented but other than that it is in great shape. The wheels were restored in 2010 and are still in greatcondition with good tires on them. It has the owners manual kit and the service records with it. He had a nice audio system put in it in 2010 and it sounds pretty good. It has a removable sunroof that does work.Now to the rest. It is a 31 year old car and does have some issues. It has several oil leaks. It runs but not as well as it should. It has been looked at and there are some vacuum leaks, the biggest one is around the oil separatorwhere it goes into the engine block but there are others. It does run well enough to drive but not well enough for a long distance haul so whoever buys it would need to have it trailored or hauled. The odometer doesn'twork but by looking at the mileage on the records it probably has around 180,000 miles on it. The clutch was replaced in 9/14. The clutch pedal will stick on the floor on occasion but not all the time. You can pull it up with your foot and it'll be good for a while. It probably needs a new clutch master cylinder or slave cylinder. The transmission shifts good with no grinding. the front control arm bushings and sway bar bushings were also replaced in 2014. The A/C works but he said he has to have it charged every year or two. I checked it and it does have a charge in it. The drivers seat is worn but the rest of the interior is still in decent shape. It's a nice car not a piece of junk, it deserves to be fixed and loved. I have a clear title in hand. Cash,cashiers check on a major bank or bank transfer as payment, no personal checks. Payment must clear before the car leaves. I am selling this for a friend and have known this car ever since he has lived in TN. He has always kept the maintenance up on it with regular oil changes, tune ups, timing belts, etc. This car looks great and with some TLC will make someone an awesome classic 80's Porsche!
