The 914 was Motor Trend's Import Car of the Year for 1970.Over the seven model years, orsche made a number of changes to the 914. Some of these changes were cosmetic and others were in response to changing crash protection standards. The most significant performance upgrade during the vehicle's lifespan was the introduction of anti roll bars, ignificantly improving the handling, nd a change from the "tail shifter" to the "side shifter" gearbox - improving the otherwise vague long linkage.

This particular example is a two family owned Porsche 914 with just having accumulated only 48k original miles. This 914 was a Texas car when new and later purchased in 1981 by the father of the most recent owner. A single repaint in the original factory silver color was done in the early 1980's by a Porsche dealer. It has a 2.0 liter four cylinder fuel injected motor with a five speed manual transmission, nd dealer installed air conditioning that works. It has the original Porsche AM/FM radio that also still works. The Appearance Group included the fog lights, ual-tone horn, teering wheel and gear lever with leatherette cover, enter console with clock, il temperature gauge and voltage meter. There were only 4100 914's built in 1976, hich is the last year of production and silver is a very rare color. This 914 is a wonderfully preserved specimen that drives as new and has been appreciating.The interior is original including carpets, eats, nd door panels. There are no cracks in the dash. The body has no blistering checking or damage with only a couple tiny touched up stone nicks on the hood. This is an exceptional example with original late style fuel injection.
