Description:

19860000 Pontiac Grand Prix

Up for your consideration is my 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2. If you are viewing this listing you likely know the story behind this limited run trim. If not, ere is a quick summary. In the mid 80's ford released a new thunderbird that started to make an impression in the nascar world. It's more aerodynamic friendly design was starting to dominate the super speedways. This trim was Pontiac's answer to hold them over u have l the FWD successor was ready.
I bought this car in 2009 to have as a sister car to my Monte Carlo aerocoupe. Now that I no longer have that, t is time to part with this as well. This GP has just over 95,000 miles on the clock. I have done quite a few things to it since owning it, n the last year it has gotten a new battery, ires, lternator, ower window motors, way bar link kit, nbsp;and a 134a conversion. It also has new body and paint work as of December 2014.
Issues that I know of are: the A/C doesn't seem to keep a charge after awhile, he engine has the typical SBC puff at start up due to valve guide leak. Inside the passenger side dash clock does not work and the tach seems to be touch and go, haven't quite figured out if it's a ground issue or a loose connection in or to the printed circuit. The dash, hile very nice does have a small crack near the corner of the windshield by the vin number.
The remainder of the interior is in good condition for it's age. Some of the dash and center console trim is worn due to age (chrome trim chipping, onsole lid worn, tc). In my opinion, would rate the interior about a 6.5-7 out of 10. The underside of the floor is very clean as well. If there are any questions, lease feel free to ask. If you'd like to come look at it in person, e can arrange for that, nd I would encourage it. I will add info to the listing if I feel I forgot to add something.
Buyer is to make $500 non-refundable deposit within 3 days of auctions end, ith the balance paid in cash upon pick up. If shipping/transport is requested, t is the responsibility of the buyer to arrange it.
