Up for bid is a 1955 Pontiac safari two door station wagon. This car has 57,000 original miles on it. It is equipped with an automatic transmission and a V-8 engine. This car has been off the road since 1975. Believe it or not, this car runs and drives. There is a small auxiliary gas can up front that bypasses the factory fuel tank. The original carpet was in the car, but was very brittle and was falling apart. I took the carpet out of the car so that you could see the floors. The floors look pretty good with the exception of the driver side there is a hole. I have taken pictures of any areas where there is something other than surface rust. For a car that is 63 years old, it is pretty solid. The door panels and seats are intact and the backseat is in really nice shape. This car needs a full restoration or could be cleared and driven the way it is. The exhaust pipe is just hanging there and needs to be replaced as well.
