1978 Pontiac Trans Am. This car is a very hard one to find. First of it is a one year only color of very desirable color of Martinique blue code 24. This is one of the coolest colors ever used on Trans Ams. I have a pretty complete original build sheet as well that shows this car was built with a factory 4 speed transmission and the higher horse power W72 engine. To find all these options and have factory Fischer T Tops makes this car a very desirable collector Trans Am. It has a super slick all new paint job. This car was a rust free all original sheet metal car. The painters I used will not touch cars with rust so this was a car they were excited to paint since it had such an amazing body. The body parts where pulled when the car was restored. All new decals from Phoneix graphics as well. I just had all new seat covers and carpet installed as well. The door panels, headliner are original but in very nice condition. The dash had a few cracks in it so I had a dash cap painted to match and put in place. It fits well but I didnt glue it down in case the next owner wanted to fix the original dash so it will pop right off. I just wanted it to look nicer for car shows etc. I think the paint job is super nice on this car. No paint is perfect but they did a very nice job. The underside, frame and trunk are nice as well. I have a set of all new Year One 17 Inch Snowflake rims installed on the car with new tires. I think these rims look great on the car and give it a very nice stance. The car has 93K original miles and I don't believe the engine has ever been rebuilt. I believe the W72 motor in the car is the original engine. I have looked at the stamp pad and it is just some worn I can't see any numbers. It does have the XX400XX on the bottom of the engine and has the correct chrome valve covers. I don't believe this engine has ever been out of the car. It is very stock running car but you can tell it has more pep than most TA's of this era with the higher horsepower W72 engine as listed on the factory build sheet. I have left some of the original factory stickers on the car as well like under the trunk lid that paint is original and nice. The car has many nice other options such as rear defrost, factory AC, T Tops, W72, Delayed Wipers, and Deluxe interior. I am sure I am forgetting some new items added as well.
