Description:

1973 Pontiac Trans Am

Sadly, the time has come to thin my flock.Up for sale is my restored 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, numbers matching 455 automatic in Buccaneer Red.

I bought this vehicle in 2010 at Barrett Jackson auction in Scottsdale, freshly restored with 38953 miles on the odometer.Today she sits in excellent condition with 39210 miles. This is the real deal - an investment car that doesn't enter the six figure range. The T/As are popular cars and fun to drive.

The interior is in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. The only serious flaw is a slight tear in the seat that cannot be seen in the pictures - I have chosen not to fix it because it can't be easily seen and I think the seat covers are original to the car.The factory A/C works and blows fairly cold and the 8 track worked the last time I tried it.

The engine runs strong and you can see the underside of the car is as good as the top.The wide ovals are still in good shape. The snowflake wheels are in decent condition, but the paint on them is not perfect and if I were going to invest in the car, that would be where it could be improved. There is one small spot on the rear end of the car under the gas cap that could do with a paint repair.I'll have that done for the purchaser.

I got caught in the rain once driving her home from a local car show (the underside took days to clean) - otherwise it's been kept inside, covered and climate controlled since the day she arrived and only rarely driven.

Also included is the paperwork from Barrett Jackson (I'm keeping the picture though).

Obviously, the car is not moving until paid for in full, but I understand that people don't just keep this amount of money in their chequing account. After you pay the deposit, I'm happy to work with you on the rest.

I of course will do everything I can to help you with shipping the vehicle. It can be daunting to take on the border folks - I suggest an experienced transportation company and I can help point you to some good people.

There are two cars in which I'm interested that I would take in partial trade for this car - a 1979 10th Anniversary T/A survivor with the manual transmission and Pontiac 400, and/or a 1989 20th Anniversary Edition with low miles and in excellent survivor condition.
