Description:

1969 Plymouth Road Runner

Here's an all original ( a TRUE barn find) unrestored Plymouth Roadrunner 6 pack RR post car with the original matching # engine, 4spd transmission and Dana 60. Engine freshened with new rings, bearings and rebuilt oil pump. New McCloud clutch kit, rebuilt carbs and flushed fuel system. Comp cam with similar profile to original, solid lifters and adjustable rockers added (I have all the originals). Original "054" radiator recored. Starts easy. Runs good, shifts good and clutch is perfect. Everything works on the car. This car was bought new by a friend of mine new here in Indy and driven for 2 years until someone tried to steal the 6 pack, and he never got it running right after that. Thus the 16k original miles. Car still has all the original Redline tires on the original H code steel rims and original lug nuts and come with the car. Shown with some duplicate style rims. Bench seat, manual steering, manual brake car with the only option of an AM radio. All floors are rust free, underside has some surface rust only in some areas. Exhaust manifolds, H pipe, mufflers, tailpipes and tips are all originals. I removed the exhaust from the mufflers back as the muffler casings have rusted off. All original pipes are useable with a little work( I've had the parts inspected by an exhaust shop. The original black interior is basically perfect with the exception of some mice holes in the headliner and a small slit that just started in the drivers seat bottom. Carpet still looks new. The original B5 blue paint is shiny in areas yet completely faded away in large sections. Couple dings and a couple of small rust holes add plenty of patina. I've retained the unrestored condition and look by design including the entire engine externally. I admire originality much more than restored. There is no Chinese reproduction parts on this car. Even the wiper blades are the originals. Owner removed fender tag and cannot find it, however the car has a perfect original title and a perfect build sheet, along with the dealers glovebox packet. Still has the '72 license plate and '72 vehicle inspection sticker on windshield which was the last time he drove it. Been stored ever since. My friend stored it in his parents barn (concrete floor) where it sat until I dug it out 5 years ago. I have a hundred+ pics from the 1st time I crawled back in the barn to see it, to the day we drug it out and many throughout the servicing process. There is a very interesting hour long story that goes with the car, along with all the pics from the removal from a barn, rebuild of the engine and then now. Currently In Indianapolis, In. area.
