Description:

1967 Oldsmobile Cutlass

This Vista Cruiser has been an Arizona car since new, nd is completely dry and rust-free. The under carriage, ockers, loors, nd body mounts are all extremely solid. I purchased this car in 2014, nd the previous owner had the car since 1982. It has always been stored inside, nd the interior and exterior are in excellent condition. The car currently shows just over 140,000 miles, nd the engine was rebuilt at 100,000. I do not have documentation on the build, ut I have run a compression test and the engine is quite sound (+/- 150 PSI on all cylinders). There is an aftermarket temperature gauge, nd the car runs cool, ven during our 105 degree summers. This is an exceptionally loaded wagon. It has the "ultra high compression" Jetfire 330, hich came equipped with a four barrel carb and dual exhaust. It has power steering, rakes (drum all around), nd power windows. The rear window is power as well, nd works with the original dash switch, r by using the key on the tailgate. I purchased the car in running condition, nd performed an extensive amount of work to make it a reliable and attractive car. New radiator, ew Brake Booster, New Master Cylinder, New Fuel Pump (it has both mechanical and an auxiliary electric pump), ompletely remanufactured factory carburetor, uilt to original specs. New valve cover seals, ew intake manifold seals, ew Pertronix Electronic Ignition, ll new hoses, elts, nd thermostat, ew transmission modulator, ew plugs, ires, ap, nd rotor. Removed and flushed the fuel tank- inside is clean and rust-free. Serviced and lubricated all power windows. Cleaned and painted intake manifold and valve covers in the original Oldsmobile gold, sing Bill Hirsh engine paint. An extra can is included. I also had the factory air conditioning system completely rebuilt by a local specialist, t a cost of $1158. The correct Frigidaire compressor was rebuilt in house, hich is much more reliable than the models sold at parts stores. All of the AC vacuum lines were replaced and color coded, s well as the ductwork behind the dash. He even replaced the blower with a more powerful AC Delco unit. All AC hoses were rebuilt, long with every seal. It has been converted to R-134A, nd is ice cold. We do live in Arizona, fter all... The heater works well, nd the core does not leak. The interior is in excellent condition, nd I recently had the front and back seats rebuilt and recovered with the original style vinyl. We also replaced the carpet, nd recovered the arm rests. The door panels are original and in excellent condition. The padded dash is original and perfect, ith no cracks or sun fading. The original AM-FM radio plays very well, nd the front seat features extremely rare factory head rests. This is a two seat model, o there is a large trunk under the rear compartment in lieu of a seat. The trunk floor, loors, nd spare tire well are all rust-free. The exterior was repainted in the original color 20 years ago, nd still shows extremely well. They used a base/clear system, nd it shows no sun fading. I buffed, olished, nd waxed the finish, nd was very impressed with the results. The paint is not perfect, ut is extremely presentable. I even took apart the roof rack to polish underneath, nd replaced the seals. The woodgrain is original, ith the exception of the section behind the left rear wheel. The brakes work well, nd I have taken the drums off to check the components. All of the shoes have plenty of life, he wheel cylinders are not leaking, nd the wheel bearings have been re-packed. I purchased a factory service manual, nd will include it in the action. I have receipts for all repairs performed during my ownership, nd will provide them to the buyer. Known Problems: The 14 inch whitewalls have good tread, ut they are over ten years old and should be replaced soon. They do not have flat spots, nd I have driven the car at 75 MPH with no problems. There is a very small spot of rust bubbling at the bottom of the side window. Please see the picture. The driver's window control switch will need service. It no longer raises the passenger window, ut the window works fine from the passenger side. The passenger window is also a bit noisy. Window washer is untested, nd probably doesn't work. One of the Vista windows has a minor spot of delamination. It shows as a small line on the front window, nd it not very noticeable. The headliner is original, nd has several small tears in it. It is presentable, ut could use replacement. The cargo compartment has numerous scratches, nd the vinyl over the spare tire has a few small tears, arks, nd imperfections. Door weatherstrip is starting to age. The engine seeps a very small amount of oil between the valve cover and intake manifold. Both seals have been replaced, o they may need to be re-sealed again if this bothers you. It's only a few drops, ut should be noted. There are also a few oil drips underneath. Nothing major, nd typical for a car of this age. The car also has a damaged piece of stainless trim on the driver's door, nd a few small dings elsewhere.
