1962 Oldsmobile Starfire

Up for sale is my 1962 Oldsmobile Starfire. This was a one family-owned car before I purchased it. It is very well documented. I think every receipt and service record was kept. I have a box full of paperwork, including the original purchase sheet, build sheet and hand-written notes from the original owner stating dates, trips, mileage, mpg, etc. The original owner bought this car brand new in 1962 and even special ordered the two-tone color just how she wanted it. She proudly drove it into her 90's. After she passed, her son-in-law received it from her estate. Knowing how much she loved the car, the son-in-law had it restored by Blackhorse Garage in Bridgeport, CT in 2001. The car was completely repainted and shows great to this day. The aluminum side panels are the originals and show some scratches and/or dents as one might expect for being 57 years old. They still look amazing. The engine was rebuilt by GM (Queensbury Motors in Glen Falls, NY). The transmission was rebuilt in the last 4500 miles. The interior is all original except for the headliner and a sun visor bracket. It shows exceptional with minor wear on the front seats. I recently had a new original-like quad jet carb put on the car. I also put 2.5" stainless steal exhaust for the manifolds back with Flowmaster mufflers and chrome tips. It has a nice growl to it. It has recently passed PA inspection. The hubcaps still have the factory blue painted grooves on them, which seems to be a rare find, especially in that color. It runs and drives great. I have only had this car for about a year and put several hundred miles on it. I drove it to shows over an hour away, in traffic, etc. and it always ran well, never overheating. It gets a lot of attention at the car cruises I've attended. I wish I could keep it but I need to money to restore a Corvette like I want.
