1970 W-30 Post 4 speed one of 142.a.k.a "Black-Gold"
Only 3,100 total W-30s produced in 1970 with only 142 4 speed Sport Coupes / Post Sedans.
Black / Black with gold stripes is original color combination.
This W-30 is a low option car.
The 3.91 gear, the console, the radio, SS IIs and that's about it for options.
We have history back to the original dealership / owner as well as every subsequent owner. I am the 4th owner. Car traveled approx. 75,000 miles and lead a hard life.
Has Olds POP, Copies of titles but no original drivetrain and no dealer documentation to verify W-30 Status. I do have the original pictures with the original owner and the car taken soon after he drove it home from the dealership and an affidavit from all three prior owners to support its W-30 authenticity.
Original owner is still alive.
So here is what you get:
1970 W3O Post body and frame as a roller.
Car will need 1/4s and outer wheel wells / houses and some floor work, most bolt on sheet metal, but underside is mostly solid. The trunkfloor is very solid and nice.
Frame is good.
All disk brake parts are there.
3.91 12 bolt rear with correct W30 code is present.
Rear sway bar and boxed control arms.
Interior needs restored is complet, but for carpet.
Original red W-30 fender wells / restorable.
5 Original Rallye II wheels.
NO Engine, NO transmission, if it is not specifically listed or pictured then it is NOT included with this sale/auction.
The original drivetrain and W-30 specific parts were stolen and we have not tried to track them down.
If you don't believe that this is an original W-30, based on the vintage pictures, what the prior owners have to say as well as the car itself, then just move on.
This car deserves to be restored back to its former glory.
