Description:

1963 Mercury Monterey

Up for bids is a rare and highly sought for 1963 Mercury Colony Park with 93k miles, 390 Marauder big block V8, automatic tranny, PS, PB, electric rear window, factory AC (not working but all there); this is one of 6.447 Colony Park wagons built in 1963; the body is absolutely virgin, with beautiful patina from original paint (took 55 years to look like this), original paint code is Z for Desert Frost, no body filler (Bondo) EVER, very minor dings/dents due to being 55 years old. A couple of years ago, I've found this wagon sitting in a barn for over 18 years, purchased the vehicle from the second owner, it was originally purchased from Ed Robinson Ford/Mercury in Corona Ca. This car has been all of its life in the desert area of the inland empire Ca. The vehicle is very solid and rust free, the rain gutters, floorboards, rocker panels are almost perfect, the only minor rust I've found, was around the spare tire compartment, that has been fixed with fiberglass; stainless is all there and very straight, chrome is original and in very good condition; the fiberglass wood trim is perfect with no breaks or cuts, nothing missing, every single stainless bolt cap is present; all glass is good with no cracks, windshield has a minor nick at the bottom, factory tinted windows, rear electric window works great; all doors close soft and easy, hood and tailgate are perfectly aligned. The 390 V8 runs great (email me your info and I'll send you a video of the engine running), it's got a new water pump, fuel pump, power steering hose; newer dual exhaust system, and boiled out gas tank by the previous owner. The wagon has been sitting for a while, tranny has a small leak from the rear seal (easy fix), and the ps belt needs to be re tighten; The interior is also original, lots of chrome on the beautiful dashboard (green fluorescent dashboard lights), original seats in good shape (seat bottoms have some rips) very decent door panels, 55 year old carpet, no headliner; Original 1963 classic black Ca plates, issued when the car was new; Clean/clear Ca title under my name; Classic Astro Supreme chrome wheels with bullet centers, and excellent 15" tires; Cool surf wagon, Hot Rod, Kustom, trailer puller or?, very hard to find in this shape; lights, wipers, gauges, horn work, front blinkers work only, original luggage rack. This vehicle is being sold As Is, Where it Is, no warranties or guaranties offered or implied, towing fees if needed will be paid by the buyer, inspections are encouraged, I live in Riverside Ca about 60 miles east from downtown LA, please contact me at 323 5478049 to set something up, or for any questions, I require a U$1.000 Non refundable deposit within 72 hours of auction ending, the balance should be cas upon vehicle/paperwork pick up; The vehicle won't leave the premises until fully paid; Thank you for looking.
