Description:

1967 Mercury Monterey Convertible

I love this car but I have to sell a few so here she is. As a collector, I'm personally into 'Rare' 1 of 1 or lower production cars. With that I also love Mercury's and 4 speed cars are a plus.
You are looking at a 1967 Mercury Monterey Convertible. They made 2,818 convertible Monterey's in 1967, and 157 came with the 428 Motor. Of these cars 10 came with a 4 speed. Of the 4 speeds only 1 was made in Sage Gold. This is that car. I've never loved Gold to be honest, but this almost has a hint of green hue versus being brick gold.
The car was sold at University Motors in Boulder Colorado. It went to Denver and never left the State. A few years ago it was found behind a house in a field. Complete and just needing a refresh. I have pictures of where it was found. The car was rescued and recently restored top to bottom. I have a DVD that documents the restoration from the motor, paint, etc. Also included with the car is the original window sticker, marti report, build sheet, and owners cars with warranty plate. It's truly amazing to have all this documentation.
Drive train :
It's been completely rebuilt and all components are original. Factory "Q" Code motor.Original 428 motor, 4 speed transmission, and 3.25 rear axle. It also had special order HD suspension. It sounds great, drives great.Brakes and misc are new.Exhaust is not brand new, but in good shape.
Interior :
Redone and looks goodWhen I bought the car it needed the original shifter boot and shifter boot ring. Original owner had a hard time finding it, but I found them about a month ago. It was not an easy task. They still need put on.
Body :
Windshield is new.Paint is new. It only had two tiny spots of rust which were repaired. They are documented on the video.Rubber seals are new, Top is new, Top pads are new, and top works as it should.Bumpers were re-chromed and look new. Other chrome items are good driver quality. This was a dry Colorado car and even before restoration the frame, floors, and trunk, were rust free. There are a couple small dings on the top surfaces, and a small chip of paint at the back.Top works great, has a real 'glass' window in back.
Misc :
Tires are newIt has an optional Stereosonic Tape System ( 8 track ) which I don't know if it works. Radio does not work. It turns on, but just makes static noise.Clock does not work. The dash was restored but has a slight crinkle on the center curve.
The car was restored original and is a beauty !!If you want something nobody has at the car show, this is it. With it being 1 of 1 you will not see another.
Feel free to ask for any other pics.
I'm also overseas friendly if you need to ship the vehicle. Deposit due within 24hrs and remainder of purchase price within 48 hours or when the car is picked up. Whichever comes first.
