1989 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series
I bought this car for the low mileage engine. My other Mercedes had blown the engine, or so I thought. Actually it was Ok, so we decided to restore this car. It had sat for a long time, so we cleaned out the fuel tank and fuel lines and put on new fuel pumps. It ran well. Now it has been sitting again so it is not drawing fuel to the engine. The engine runs well when fuel is put directly into the intake. The body is straight with no rust. Clear coat is beginning to peel. The windshield is cracked. Most electrics work including the clock. It has 3 AMG wheels. The tires are old. It will need to be trailered. It ran well the few times we drove it into town and back and before we parked it. It is a good solid car with great potential and what I think is a very fair price. This is my 5th and last Mercedes as I am up in years now.
