The W123 chassis Mercedes Benz first hit the market in 1976 and was an overnight sensation. There were year long waiting lists and demand was so strong that used examples were more expensive than new models. The car represented the best of the company. Rock solid build quality, safety, innovation, and prestige. Many consider the W123 to be one of the greatest cars ever made, with nearly 3 million being produced when production ended in 1985. With five different bodies... styles and a dozen engine choices, there was a model for everybody, both private and commercial and the vast majority of W123's are still running around the world in the toughest conditions. GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this extremely nice 1982 300CD for your consideration. While nearly 2.5mil sedans were produced, just 100k coupes were made, making them quite rare. The 3.0L 5cyl Turbo Diesel is as smooth as these come and has tons of life left in it. 172k miles is just broken in for these durable diesels.
