Description:

19870000 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series

You are viewing a pair of 1987 Mercedes 190DT turbo diesels. The red car is a driver and the black/silver is for ‘parts’. As many of you are probably aware these are very rare cars with only around 1300 being produced. Only for 1987. I purchased these cars from an elderly gentleman but was unable to continue to drive them. I have had them for around 6 months and driven the red one for a few thousand miles without issue. Currently I have too many cars and need the room.

The red car is the driver and is in the best condition, urrent mileage is 167,xxx. I have a clear tittle in hand which is in my name. Its red on palomino color combo looks great and was one of only a few produced with this combination. The car does have clear coat issues from the Florida sun. A few paint chips and small dents are also present but this car would show greatly with a fresh coat of paint.

The wheels are AMG penta’s, ery rare here in the US. These wheels alone can sell for several thousand. They are wrapped in new firestone firehawk tires with have around 500 miles on them. No oil leaks are coming from the undercarriage. It has been parked in a garage my entire ownership and has not dripped one spot of oil onto the floor. The a/c is currently not working and I am not sure as to why. The cars transmission shifts great, ice and smooth when driving slowly but quick and firm when on the throttle. You can feel the boost from the turbo when accelerating, hese little turbo diesels really move! Last time I was on the highway the cruise was working as it should. Stops well and does not give any strange noises over bumps.

Interior is in good shape. All door panels and carpets are nice without any tears or large stains. The driver’s seat does have some wear in the normal place but nothing that couldn’t be repaired cheaply. Dash has a small crack in the center, othing major like other 190s. Its steering wheel is in excellent shape. Horn is functioning. No warning lights are on. Thermometer read out is temperamental, ometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t. When it works it shows the temp accurately. Headliner is very nice, o sags or tears. Sunroof functions great, oves back and forward as it should. The passenger’s rear window is not moving but all others go up and down quickly. Trunk carpet is in nice shape, as a full spare, ack and tool kit are present. This car does need a little work on a few things but is an excellent example of a rare Mercedes.

The black/silver car is also a 1987 190DT. It could be put back on the road but would take quite a bit of work. I do NOT have a tittle for this car, t was sold to me with a bill of sale as the previous owner could not locate the tittle. I will also be selling this car with only a bill of sale. This cars clear coat has also failed. It appears to have a AMG style body kit with spoiler. All the major drivetrain parts are there and seem to work great. Starts right up and idles properly. I have not driven this car on the road as it needs some brake work. It will drive onto a car transport just fine. Its interior is in rough shape but all the mechanical components are all there.

Being sold AS-IS. Please ask all questions before submitting a reasonable offer and I would encourage anyone to come see them in person if possible. Buyer is responsible for shipping costs but I will accommodate/assist any car transporters. Feel free to send messages and thanks for looking.
