Here it is just took it out of winter storage. Up for sale is a 1988 560 SL. . If you are looking than you know the 86-89 560SL are the highly sought after and collectable vehicles. I bought this car in Florida, from the original owner, 14 years ago. It has been garage kept its entire life. I just drive it in the nice weather. It is the second best color combination and the better year.. White exterior, red interior, white hard top, and a black soft top. This car also has the chrome wheel option, The wheels really make the car stand out.
The exterior paint is the orginal factory paint, except the left fender, the fender was repainted before I purchased the car. I would rate the paint 7 out of ten. The car has NO rust at all.
The interior is in excellent condition. I would rate it 9 out of 10.The top is in good condition.
Mechanically the car is in perfect condition. The engine and transmission operate properly. It drives smooth and straight. Last year I installed new tires and brakes all around. I have maintained this veehicle to the highest standards.
Here are the know defects which are reflected in the price. The climate control does not work. Been that way since I bought the car. Never fixed it because I drive it with the top down. The radio does not work. Been that way since I bought the car. Never fixed it because I would not use it anyway. The drivers side sun visor is broken. Have not had the chance to fix it.
In summation this a nice car to ad to a collection or drive it like I did in the nice weather.
