1980 Mercedes-Benz 400-Series Chrome
This car is a head turner. I get compliments every time I drive it. Rare China Blue color (only 150 made worldwide in this color in 1980). Great body. No accidents. Original paint and body parts. Some of the original pin strips still show. Very few replacement parts. Interior is original. Tires have maybe 5,000 miles. Battery is less than a year old. Has hard top, soft top (rarely used).
I usually take the hard top off in the spring and put it back in the winter. Car has been garaged and waxed regularly. Also has a car cover.
This car has been featured in multiple movies and television shows including the upcoming shows Future Man and Law and Order: The Menendez Brothers.
I am the third owner and have owned it about 15 years. Weekend car. 147,000 miles. I've driven it regularly to Palm Springs, Santa Barbara etc. The car is starting to have transmission problems. From what I can tell, that?s the only major issue. Minor issues are: right door handle, visor, AC.
