1978 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
280 SLC '78 — very low mileage
These are hard to find: a W107 without any rust and in the most exceptional color this model was produced in: Kiwi Green.
Only a few were ever ordered in this colour, which makes it a true collector's item.
This gives it a powerful edge a vintage sports car deserves.
This car was babied by its German owner till 2010 when it moved to Belgium.
In Belgium it got a complete overhaul and a new sound system was installed (very discrete, without LEDs, and re-using the holes of the original speakers so that visually there is no difference. Yet this (expensive, over 1000Euro) Becker radio also understands modern music formats and safe handsfree calling.
The car also got a complete (preventive!) anti-corrosion undercarriage treatment to protect it against dirt and future corrosive chemicals.
The interior is Pullmann, also the most exclusive at the time. No burned legs in summer time!
The engine was the last one revised by Mercedes for this model: the legendary and extremely robust 6 cilinder 2,8 injection engine (also used in the W123, W108, W124 and W126). It is known for its longevity and this one has only 130.000 kms (=81K miles).
The car is immaculately kept and has nice extra options (sun blinding glass, solar roof, 2nd side mirror, automatic antenna, new tires, Krupps Felgen, chromed exhaust, etc etc.
